classmethod PointCloud.from_tuples(tuples_xyz, crs, data_column=None, use_z=False)

Create a point cloud from an iterable of X, Y and Z tuples.

Parameters:

• tuples_xyz (Iterable[tuple[int | float | integer[Any] | floating[Any], int | float | integer[Any] | floating[Any], int | float | integer[Any] | floating[Any]]]) – Coordinates and values as (x, y, z) tuples.

• crs (CRS) – Coordinate reference system of the point cloud.

• data_column (str | None) – Column name used to store Z values when use_z is False. Defaults to z.

• use_z (bool) – Whether to store Z values in 3D point geometry instead of a dataframe column.

Return type:

Any

Returns:

A PointCloud or GeoDataFrame matching the class interface.
